A special candy is a name for a candy in Candy Crush Jelly Saga that has powerful effects once cleared and matched. Upon activation, its power will destroy more candies and yield a much greater score than a simple match of three. They can also be matched when just two special candies are side-by-side; the match will produce a compelling effect much stronger than one-special-candy activation if they are activated one-by-one. When Sugar Crush is activated, they activate themselves.

Special candies

Candy Fish	When matched, it will hit a random candy, or blocker depending on the level goal.	Make a square-shaped match.
Striped Candy	Clears a column or row if vertical or horizontal, respectfully.	Make a match of 4 candies in a row. The direction you swipe the candy to make it is the same direction the stripes will be in.
Wrapped Candy	Clears a 3x3 square twice and moves like normal.	Make a match of 5 candies in a T or L shape.
Color Bomb	Clears all candies of the color of your choice.	Make a match of 5 candies in a row.
Coloring Candy	Changes a color to the same color of the coloring candy.	Make a match of 6 or more candies in a row or 5 with the same candy color on either side.

Striped Candy + Color Bomb	Makes all candies with selected color to striped candies and activate them.
Striped Candy + Coloring Candy	Makes all candies with selected color and coloring candy's color (if both have the same color, then the candy color with the most amount on the board will be selected) to striped candies and activate them.
Wrapped Candy + Wrapped Candy	Makes a large explosion that clears the candies on 5×5 square twice.
Wrapped Candy + Candy Fish	Chooses a random tile and acts like a wrapped candy.
Wrapped Candy + Color Bomb	Makes all candies with selected color to wrapped candies and activate them.
Wrapped Candy + Coloring Candy	Makes all candies with selected color and coloring candy's color (if both have the same color, then the candy color with the most amount on the board will be selected) to wrapped candies and activate them.
Candy Fish + Candy Fish	Makes another additional candy fish and activate them.
Candy Fish + Color Bomb	Makes all candies with selected color to fish candies and activate them.
Candy Fish + Coloring Candy	Makes all candies with selected color and coloring candy's color (if both have the same color, then the candy color with the most amount on the board will be selected) to fish candies and activate them.
Color Bomb + Color Bomb	Blasts all of the spaces on the board and takes a layer off from blockers.
Color Bomb + Coloring Candy	Jenny appears on the screen, blasts all of the spaces on the board and removes all blockers at once (Changed from June 8, 2017 to June 13, 2017).
Coloring Candy + Coloring Candy	Jenny appears on the screen, makes all candies on the board to one color with selected coloring candy's color.

Trivia

All special candies in the game have precisely the same amount of types compared to Candy Crush Soda Saga.
If you create another special candy during having a striped candy or more, they won't be destroyed immediately by striped candy. This is different in Candy Crush Saga.
When you combine striped candy with a color bomb, all regular candies will be transformed into striped candies in the following order: from left to right, from top to bottom, and the first candy is horizontally striped, the second one is vertical striped and so on.
- However, if you combine striped candy with coloring candy, the order of stripe candies is the opposite: the first candy is vertically striped, the second one is horizontal striped and so on.
On June 8 2017, combining Color bomb with Coloring candy was changed, it is similar to Color bomb + Color bomb. This was fixed on June 13 2017.
- On May 1 2019, it was changed again. Instead, blockers inside other ones won't be removed completely.
